Get a variety of prompts and ideas to spark your creativity every day in your inbox.

Find time for quiet practice. Your mind slows. Your actions guide you to focus and flow.

Your pieces stop swirling, and you find the connections.
Each morning, you'll receive an email with fresh prompts and simple ways to make time for yourself, wherever you are.
Each email will have prompts with the themes of the day, such as "Think about your favorite river", "Take a walk outside and count 100 steps, then come inside and stitch"--" play your favorite song", "journal my dream from last night...", "get out your paints and make as many shades of purple as you can...."( dont worry, if you are NOT an email person, these will all live inside our retreat portal).
During the day, you will find a few minutes to act on one of those prompts. You can take as little as 3-5 minutes, or get lost in what you are doing!
Each day, there will be an optional live Zoom call for questions, inspiration, and working together. We will decide together the best times for these, perhaps different times to make sure everyone can have a chance for live feedback.
You'll also get tips for creating a quiet space, even if all you have is five minutes; and ways to make your creativity portable.

Are You Ready to join the Holding Patterns Virtual Retreat?
Come and join me ! I will be engaging in my favorite activity, stitching. Others might be painting, or chopping vegetables, or making clay figurines. There will be many ideas for other ways you can create your own practice, no matter who you are or where your interests lie.
In five days you will have gained the peace that comes from daily active meditation, and the beginnings of an ongoing creative practice.

Why would I want to do this?
You might find out some things about yourself that you did not know. Sometimes, doing something completely different brings reset in unexpected places.
Do I have to be an artist?
No experience or knowledge is necessary. This is all about creating a meditative creative space for yourself, with emphjasis on process not a finished product. Absolutely!! Any textile art that involves repetitive hand motion has great benefits and its all about quiet creativity
It sounds complicated, what do I need to do?
It is very very simple. All you need to do is check your inbox in the morning, do the prompt during the day, and then, if you wish, come and engage in community either in the Facebook group or on Zoom(your preference) in the evening.
Do I need any special materials? Do I have to buy anything?
You will not need anything other than what you normally keep on hand. Please let me know what your creative jam is! We can work together to find the right thing for you.
